William Still serves as a Funeral Pre-Planning Specialist at The Harris Funeral Home, where he helps families prepare for one of life’s most emotional and important moments with care, respect, and thoughtful guidance. With a compassionate heart and a deep understanding of the challenges families face, William is dedicated to ensuring that every client’s final wishes are clearly planned, honored, and carried out with dignity.
William’s calling to this field began at a young age. Having experienced the loss of close family members early in life, he witnessed firsthand how overwhelming and stressful it can be when no final arrangements are in place. Those experiences left a lasting impact on him and shaped his desire to help others avoid the same uncertainty and emotional burden. When William met the Harris family and saw their genuine commitment to serving families with integrity and compassion, he knew he had found the right place to fulfill that purpose.
Today, William takes great pride in assisting individuals and families with advanced funeral planning. He believes strongly that thoughtful preparation brings peace of mind—not only to the person making the plans, but also to their loved ones. His primary goal is always to ensure that each client’s wishes are carefully documented and followed exactly as requested. With patience, grace, and respect, William treats every family as he would want his own to be treated.
What William enjoys most about his role is the ability to ease the emotional and practical burdens that often accompany end-of-life decisions. Knowing that he can help provide clarity, comfort, and reassurance to families during such sensitive times brings him deep fulfillment. For him, there is no greater reward than helping someone feel confident that their final wishes will be honored and that their family will be spared unnecessary stress.
Outside of work, William cherishes time spent with his close-knit family. Traveling with his parents and siblings is one of his greatest joys. He also enjoys staying active and engaged through hobbies such as playing pool, going to the gym, visiting local museums and parks, and exploring new restaurants as a proud self-proclaimed foodie.
An avid reader, William has a passion for self-development books, always seeking ways to grow personally and professionally. He also loves getting lost in a good fictional murder mystery, especially works by his favorite authors, David Baldacci and Michael Connelly. When it comes to comfort food, his favorite meal is dry-rubbed spare ribs, collard greens, and macaroni and cheese—though he balances that with healthier favorites like baked salmon, white rice, and roasted broccoli.
A fun fact about William is that he grew up taking tennis lessons with his sisters and still enjoys playing whenever he gets the chance. He remains a fan of professional tennis and loves watching matches whenever time allows.
When dreaming of travel, William is drawn to warm, sunny destinations with beautiful beaches such as Brazil, Jamaica, Cancun, Costa Rica, and Florida. At the same time, he hopes one day to explore countries across Africa and Europe to experience their cultures and way of life.
Guided by empathy, respect, and personal experience, William Still is honored to serve families through his meaningful work at The Harris Funeral Home—helping them plan ahead, find comfort, and gain peace of mind for the future.
